Cattle

For generations our family has raised beef cattle in this area. Today we have Hereford/Angus cattle for sale. Although we sell most of our calves at a local auction, we do feed out a few select head of calves each year for friends who want something that the local super market does not have. These calves are fed out as they were years ago on the local grass and finished off with natural grains to help with marbling. They are not given hormones or any type of antibiotic supplement. We feel that the resulting taste of the beef produced is superior to anything that is feedlot fed.

Stock Dogs

The dogs we use for working cattle in these mountains are best classifed as Mendocino County Stock Dogs.

Chickens

We always have a small flock of chickens around. They are a mixed group and allowed to free roam which makes gathering eggs interesting. One of our hens is pictured in our photo gallery under Sarah's photos.
